Aces of the Multiverse is a football game with a gimmick. You can unlock new characters, teams and stadiums using an Xplora smartwatch. It has 6x unobtainable trophies, and these discontinued trophies are tied to using an Xplora smartwatch.
About that gimmick
The Xplora smartwatches are a kid-friendly watch designed for adults to check in on their kids, with GPS tracking, video calls to approved contacts, messaging and (on some devices) link to apps. They are designed to keep kids safe and active. Perfect for a footballing game, on paper.
In practice however, it doesn't work whatsoever. You have to "sync" the game and the smartwatch via SMS (so entering your phone number into the in-game prompt), which doesn't work if you're based outside of 6x select European countries.
Region locked trophies?
Yep, the 6x unobtainable trophies in Aces of the Multiverse are region locked to select European countries. So if you do not live in France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Spain or the UK; you're out of luck. Then again, even if you live in any of these 6x countries, you're still out of luck. Let's run through why:
- Both the smartwatch and console need to be on the same network (2.4GHz Wi-Fi only, due to smartwatch limitations)
- Entering an 10 or 11-digit phone number (so every country on the list, minus Spain) states "wrong phone number length".
- Entering a 9-digit phone number and selecting "Sync" states "can't connect to server".
- Gammera Nest are a Spanish dev studio, hence why the 9-digit phone number is the only working option on this, as confirmed by Xplora Support.
- Xplora and Gammera Nest's "partnership" ended shortly after release (as confirmed by Xplora Support).
So... were these trophies ever obtainable?
Highly unlikely. From timestamps documented by TrueTrophies, no account has ever legitimately unlocked the trophies after release date, and prior to the partnership between Xplora and Gammera Nest ending.
